Grassroots Fundraising:

Just like grassroots organizing, grassroots fundraising WORKS!!  Grassroots organizing forces change from the bottom up, where our most successful levels of change have been incubated (think women’s suffrage, civil rights, and right here in Utah with our fight for better boundaries).  We've been doing this grassroots fundraising since 2017, and in over eight years, we have mobilized $650K and supported 77 candidates. The PAC has evolved into the grassroots strategic fundraising partner of Utah's coalition of the FUTURE. 

Coalition of the Future:

In 2024, our women-led team joined forces with a broader coalition and focused on the FUTURE with the goal to ensure that our limited resources are directed effectively through inspired, common-sense problem solving and transparency. This coalition of the FUTURE includes campaign professionals, funding groups, voting/citizens rights groups, political organizing groups.  We partner and work with other local and national groups focused on research, advocacy, policy development, voter registration and candidate in-kind support.

Our Candidate Vetting Process:

To determine which candidates to support, the UWP-PAC and its coalition partners examine each district’s data to identify which has the most potential for change. We invite these candidates to submit an application, and then we conduct an in-person interview where they meet with members to explain their positions, messaging and engagement and discuss how they would organize, staff and manage their campaigns.  All funded candidates have specific campaign benchmarks and timelines to meet in order to release funding.
